What is Zoom?
What does Zoom technology enable workers to do you might ask? Zoom is a video conferencing service that allows its users to meet virtually. It's online conferencing and meeting-based service allows for users to meet, no matter the location, because the meeting is completely virtual. The services are user friendly allowing the worker to connect through video or connect using only audio. No matter where you are in the world, through zoom you can meet with your workers employees or employers to make sure you are connected in all facets. Zoom is the perfect communication technology for businesses looking to stay completely connected with workers, from the bottom all the way to the top of their companies and businesses.
What does Zoom do best?
What zoom does best is bring people together. Having the ability to connect with anyone, and be face-to-face virtually, is a great feature that Zoom has. You could be a CEO of a company, in a completely different state, and still meeting with your coworker’s face-to-face over zoom. According to a March 2020 Business Insider article, “it's easy to see why this stuff-better call quality, the ability to record meetings, and being able to share high quality video over that call-help set resume apart from the competition.” What the article is implying and stating is that when it comes to video teleconferencing, Zoom is second to none in its ability to connect users. In addition, you would be able to share your screen with your coworkers to allow them to see your screen and follow along with what you're discussing. You could also make breakout rooms, which are mini meeting rooms, where you create teams or if you need to discuss something privately with a coworker you could by entering a breakout room. Furthermore, you could send direct messages to individuals, as well as the whole group, to ensure your message gets across clearly or if you have any questions regarding something discussed in your meeting. All these features allow you to stay connected with your company simply and easily. Bringing people together, despite geographical location, is what Zoom does best.
What does Zooms interface look like?
Zoom’s interface is one of the platform's best features! Once you are logged in, you will be presented with a simple ID sign in box. This ID box allows you to create a meeting to have employees or coworkers join you or it allows you to join an existing recurring meeting. Once you are in the meeting you will be presented with every participant up on the screen with their faces present in the meeting or a box showing their name indicating their present. Furthermore, when you're in the meeting, Zoom has features that allow users to use emojis as reactions without interrupting them. There are hand raising and clapping emojis to indicate that they agree with what is being said in the meeting. It also has features that allow a participant to share their screen. making it to where all members can see exactly what they're talking about are discussing in the meeting. All these features on Zoom’s interface allow workers and employees to maximize the time they have together to ensure they get the job done quickly efficiently and correctly.

Duality of technology
I would suggest to many companies to use zoom because it will create a better ecosystem for your company. When you are running a business, you will encounter many diverse people or entities along the way. Zoom will allow you and your business to stay interconnected with these people ensuring your business run smoothly. In addition, when companies use zoom it will invoke connection and engagement amongst your employees, leading to a stronger ecosystem and stronger business relationships.
Comparative Analysis
A communication technology like Zoom is constantly updating its features to best fit what is in need. Whether that be the to fix an inconvenience in the software or improving a feature that allows users to get their message out to each other quicker, Zoom is always looking to update and improve. Zoom, originally known as WebEx, was used to share things such as PowerPoints and things that were displayed on one user's desktop screen. Fast forward to today and Zoom not only shares desktop screen materials, but it also allows you to direct message users and even meet one on one in breakout rooms, which are separate from the meeting, ensuring everything continues to run while you have a side conversation with an employee. These changes in the Zoom technology are result of duality in technology. As we as humans continue to use technology like Zoom, we, in return, through our actions change technology to best fit our needs just as we've seen with Zoom and its continuation of updating features.
